Friday, March 23rd, 1956: Neal Hurt, Out for 10 Months
Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Charlie Neal of the Red Sox knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Kansas City Athletics while running the bases. Diagnosed as a torn ankle ligaments, the Boston second baseman is expected to miss 10 months. Neal was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "There is nothing I can do now. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
