It happened today at Shock Ballpark.
Dick Koecher of the Toledo Mud Hens was right on target against the Norfolk Tides in his 2-0 victory. He really zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 1 strikeout and 3 walks.
Koecher said he just had it all today, "very good stuff and great location, a combination that's hard to beat."

Opposing clubs are batting .240 against him and he has logged 69 strikeouts. | | Sunday, August 4th, 1957: Ridin' High, Peete Hits for the Cycle It was a special day for Charlie Peete. He hit for the cycle, belting out every kind of hit there is in a baseball game -- single, double, triple, home run. The Norfolk center fielder accomplished the rare feat during his team's 5-4 victory over the Buffalo Bisons.
He told the SION reporters at the postgame press conference, "I never even thought about hitting a cycle and whatta you know, I did it. The cycle really doesn't matter to me, it is the 4 hits and the win that are important. But I guess it will be nice to see my name listed in the record book."
Peete went 4-5 in the game.
C. Peete singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off V. Lombardi in the 8th and tripled in the 10th.
Looking at his stats this year, Peete has compiled a .218 batting average, while hitting 8 home runs and driving in 36 runs. He has played in 106 games and scored 38 runs. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | C Haywood Sullivan | herniated disc (back) | 4 weeks | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 45-85, .346 PCT | | Position in Division | 8th, 35.0 GB | | Record at home | 24-41, .369 PCT | | Record on the road | 21-44, .323 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 9-5, .643 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 18-19, .486 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 17-39, .304 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 28-46, .378 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 3-7, .300 PCT | | Record in April | 4-21, .160 PCT | | Record in May | 7-21, .250 PCT | | Record in June | 12-16, .429 PCT | | Record in July | 12-14, .462 PCT | | Record in August | 10-13, .435 PCT |
