| Breaking News |  | Saturday, August 24th, 1957: Stone Takes Charge, Blanks Lehigh Valley "That was one of my best outings," said Dean Stone. "I was worried a lot in the bullpen. My ball wasn't quite right. Luckily, it can be two different worlds -- the bullpen and the game. Once I stepped on the field, it all fell into place."

"I feel good physically," he said. "Everything's comfortable. You should pitch well when that's the case."
It was anything but comfortable for Lehigh Valley.
"McCormick used his changeup very well, very effectively," the opposing manager said. "He threw it in hitter's counts."
The Memphis Redbirds hurler fanned 5 and walked 2.
