| Breaking News | | Tuesday, July 16th, 1957: Curve Pitching Ravaged by Clark Mississippi third baseman Jim Clark could do no wrong in today's 10-3 win over the Curve as he collected 5 hits.
"In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor...he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Curve said to the press corps after the game.
Clark agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
J. Clark singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
