Monday, July 1st, 1957: Labine Picks up AL Monthly Pitching Honor
This month the A AL spotlight fell on pitcher Clem Labine of the Frederick Keys.

What a June he had!

A fine 5-1 won-lost record, 2.03 ERA, 8 starts, 57.2 innings pitched and 21 strikeouts -- good enough to get him the AL Pitcher of the Month.

In 22 starts this season Labine has fashioned a 13-4 record and a 2.08 ERA.
Monday, July 1st, 1957: AL Star of the Week Honored
Rod Miller is respected by most Frederick Keys fans for his no-frills style of play. The 17-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the A AL Player of the Week honors.

He compiled a .462 average (12-26) with no home runs, 2 RBIs and 5 runs scored.

This season Miller has hit 3 home runs and posted a .243 batting average.
Monday, June 3rd, 1957: Week's Premier Player - Frederick's Miller
It was announced today that Frederick first baseman Rod Miller snagged the A AL Player of the Week Award for his outstanding play last week.

He posted a .526 batting average as he collected 10 hits, 1 home run and 2 RBIs.
