Sunday, June 2nd, 1957: Labine Tames Miracle
Clem Labine of the Frederick Keys really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 7-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Fort Myers Miracle with a 6-hit shutout in which he struck out 4 and gave up 4 walks.

Season-to-date Labine has rung up 9 wins and 3 losses in 15 appearances. He has an ERA of 1.93 and has fanned 49 batters in 102.2 innings.
Tuesday, April 16th, 1957: Ports Triumph, Blank Miracle
"Good pitching beats good hitting" is an old baseball adage.

Well, good pitching also beats bad batting.

In his postgame interview the Fort Myers manager said, "Clint Hartung made us look real bad today. He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."

Hartung had 2 strikeouts, no walks and allowed only 6 hits as the Stockton Ports whitewashed the Fort Myers Miracle 5-0.

Monday, June 25th, 1956: A AL Picks Top Player
The hottest bat of the week belonged to Fort Myers first baseman Ed Bouchee.

He went on a rampage last week against AL hurlers and rapped out 13 hits in 32 at-bats for a .406 average while hitting no home runs, driving in 3 runs and scoring 5 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the A AL Player of the Week trophy.

Bouchee was honored today at a press conference.

Thus far in 1956 Bouchee is hitting .294 with 3 home runs, 30 RBIs, 42 runs scored and has compiled a .358 OBP.
